In a time of war, those involved do not sit there and ask themselves what would Jesus do?

They certainly do. We send chaplains into war along side of fighting soldiers. We supply our military with guns and bibles. (Or at least in WWII we did.)

The majority of our military is made up of christians from all faiths. The Quakers maintain they are pacifists and exempt from military service. Catholics can argue a similar claim.

In a time of war, those involved do not sit there and ask themselves what would Jesus do?

I'm willing to bet out on the battlefield every soldier has prayed to his god at one time or another.

RD, the question whether or not Jesus would condone torture,
in itself, has nothing at all to do with religion or your thoughts.

It is simply a question about the nature of a much revered historical figure.

Why do you make it personal?

Why do you suggest that the historical Jesus should not be discussed?

Why on earth do you avoid such simple questions?
