Surely you're not finding it slower most of the time, are you?
There was definitely some heavy slowdown happening for the past two hours because I'm at a friend's house taking advantage of his broadband connection while I do a lot of modifications to the site. Me hitting it the way I am tends to be quite a bit of overhead.
I'd have waited until the wee hours, but I only have dialup at home. Actually, working from home late at night is my usual thing, but I decided to borrow his system today so I can get some serious work done rather than waiting forever for Terminal Services screens to update.
