Good afternoon 8..,in FOREX I have had some of my best gains in only a few minutes and have seen really large gains in one minute or less.But some of our folks swing trade for extended periods that you mentioned.FOREX goes through continuous cycles that usually crosses back and forth through a rising or falling moving average center.IOW a lot of us have taken unnecessary losses in early days by selling at a loss when the same trade would normally have been in profit at some other point of its 24 hour trading day.There are tons of ways to trade FOREX with success but its a different and more level playing field than equities have ever been...probably due to high liquidity..FOREX trades app $4 Trillion USD in each 24 period which makes all equity markets combined pale in comparison. Yes..VT trader is back up and running now...they dont bug you to go live and their Renko charting is excellent...it will not accept any time based indicators o the charts as some programs do..only thing you can add is trendlines.
