Ahhh, I hadn't thought of that. But I think it's important to take them out of the message box, and perhaps allow the user to control the size.

Dave, I think there's a field conflict or area problem with some messages or when the mess. has text features... other than that, could be cool.

Ahh, information design. Everybody thinks it's easy, but it's not. BTW, it's a horizontal space, not vertical, with an ad on the right side with or without a siggy. Mixed feelings about these icons. Fortunately they don't slow page loading, but there's a link to Quote-News-Chart on the top right of the page. Small icons would work there, IMO.
