There was an article in The Globe and Mail two weeks ago about Taser applying to the B.C. Supreme Court to overturn the recommendations and guidelines proposed by a provincial inquiry for use of the Taser in British Columbia.
If ever there was a red flag for Taser's growing desperation this would have to be it. They won't succeed. When these user guidlines are implemented you can bet your granny's purse with the gold coins that other jurisdictions will take a hard look and fall into step too.
Taser's credibility as a provider of a 'safe' tool for law enforcement is being shredded. There will be a tipping point reached when lawsuits launched against users of the Taser will hit a number that'll require law enforcement agencies to 'scramble' for an alternative.
