NPR reports today Lt Gov Andre Bauer (D), who would step in should Gov Sanford (R) resign, said he will not run for governor if Sanford does resign...which is what the Repub party was very much afraid of. Now let's see if the Repub party continues to support conserv "family values" Gov Sanford.
