Punk, better stop that wondering. That type of wondering and conclusion could be very dangerous to the health of your investment portfolio.

No Sharing Whatsoever...

... for Qualcomm on WCDMA royalties, with anybody.

<< I was wondering when Q would make this change. Goes back to not being able to predict how much they will have to share WCDMA/TD-SCDMA royalties. >>

Qualcomm's bulletproof IP is already tested in the courts in Japan, and in Europe, and as a consequence their license agreements are all signed, sealed, and delivered. Others can duke it out with each other, but NOT with Qualcomm. Royalty checks arrive at Qualcomm's lock box, with audited statements of shipments and wholesale sales price, arrive every quarter, or worse case in a few instances every 2 quarters ...

... like clockwork.

UTRA TDD HCR or LCR may be another story, but I wouldn't make book on it. We'll see, but for now the question is moot, since their are no UTRA TDD commercial shipments.

Not their share of "royalties", Pumpkin, their share of "chipsets". With WCDMA and TD-SCDMA (assuming the latter`s commercial significance), there is a ramping disconnect between rapidly rising royalties, and rising chipset revenues. Soon, their WCDMA chipset sales will begin to rise dramatically, with the advent of MSM6250 product, but healthy and inevitable competition in WCDMA and TD-SCDMA chipset sales will make it difficult to accurately estimate the incoming royalties from those technologies.
