DANVILLE — An earthquake with a magnitude of 2.7 hit near Danville on Saturday morning at 3:40 a.m. The quake's epicenter was located about a mile north northeast of Danville, and 10 miles south of southeast of Concord, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. Eileen Dickson of Danville said there was no damage to her home from the small earthquake, "just a real sharp jolt," she said.
