ADC Telecommunications Inc. (ADCT:US) rose 17 percent to $8.07 and jumped 19 percent earlier, the most intraday since March 26. The maker of phone equipment boosted its forecast, saying it expects to earn at least 11 cents a share in the third quarter. That topped the 9-cent average estimate from analysts in a Bloomberg survey.
