You must have misunderstood me

It is $12.95 to trade. If you want to use the ECN, it is an additional $20.

Example

Typical buy.

Buy at the ASK 50,000 GZFX @ .0275. $1,375 + 12.95 = $1387.95

Buy using the ECN

Buy @ the Bid 50,000 GZFX @ .025. $1,250 + 12.95 + 20 = $1,287.50.

You made an additional $100 that you couldn't have made using your broker. You would pick up another $100 on the sale at the ASK.

Freetrade won't let you use the ECN. You have to buy at the ASK and sell at the BID.

But hey. You save the commission.
