Why does A/S increases not matter?

I think they were announcing those authorized share increases after the company had started taking in a good amount of revenue.

Why bother doubling the AS when they probably knew they only had to wait a few more months to buy certain companies OUTRIGHT with cash.

This gives further reinforcement to a pig trap.
