He and I had a running battle for a couple of years. He was not pleased at my columns. We occasionally talked. Once he slammed the phone down on me. The Fed, and Fed Chairman make mistakes... but would your prefer the "Good Old Days" when we had no Fed; or an ineffective/weak Fed when good people got clobbered time and again by a business community that simply didn't care but for themselves?
