Exactly.

Something else about the social security tax. On the regular federal tax, the first $7,000 or so (when you add up the deductions), is not taxed. But with social security, every dollar of income is taxed. So if someone is making less than $9,000, they are paying far more in social security taxes, than federal taxes.
