migo -- we all reduce complexity, make generalizations and simplifications, in search of pattern, of coherence in how we see that which is beyond ourselves -- we have to -- the trick is to never forget that those are just our shorthands, not the reality, and that our shorthands make sense only so long as and only to the extent they sensibly describe the reality -- a reality in this time like none before rapidly changing and becoming ever more complex

we are all but grasshoppers in a reality none of us can or will ever fully comprehend -- that's just how it is -- it's up to us to remember that's who and all we are -- and to keep trying, to keep plugging away, anyway

if, together, we do well enough, we'll have the chance to survive well into a future of almost incomprehensible promise extending beyond our prosaic little pale blue dot and solar system

and if not, if we can't get past our ingrained shorthands since left behind by reality, then we too, sooner rather than later, will be left behind by reality, vanished into the vastness of time already come and forever gone

I have a folder here and in my email that is named "F6 Wonky Posts" .. I realize - the label is way too simple - as his posts are so much more ....but that is something you just have to know within .. hard to put in words ..

The time he takes to gather all that research is just so awesome - then to present it to us in a readable form .. . with all that information, just a 'click' away for us to have a history of the issues, where they came from and how/why we are here at this moment today ...
