If you're going to use antibiotics I would suppose meropenem and or zithromax are good alternatives to penicillin. I've never come across anyone allergic to tetracycline but since I'm into alternative medicine I would use something like MMS (28% sodium chlorite) that is diluted with a food acid such as lemon juice, vinegar, or citric acid and water to form chlorine dioxide. Just a few drops of this in 4 - 8 oz water is a wonderful antibiotic that works against virus as well as bacteria and any anerobe for that matter.
