Okay, so lets say I wrote a check to GW Bush in 2000 for $50k (I'm not even sure if that's legal with some of the campaign finance reform stuff, but for the sake of argument, who cares). You're telling me that you'd hold Karl Rove and George Bush personally responsible for my actions the minute they cash the check? That's quite a bit of liability for a politician who depends on contributions don't you think?
