If and this is an if, we can bring other nations on board to help subsidize the Iraqi war, roll back tax cuts, reform healthcare and create jobs through a new energy policy we are a lot closer to it becoming a reality than 18 new initiatives and absolutely no way to pay for them with the ongoing tax cuts, a ballooning deficit and $200 billion plus in Iraq. Not to mention the outsourcing of jobs and the pharma/healthcare industries having there way with us. Again, this is if everyone gets onboard, Kerry's plan can work and that would be with leaving SS and Medi-Care intact. GWB's plan is already dead in the water, no substance and a bunch of lipservice on what little bit of economic issues that were mentioned. Don't get me wrong it was a very very good speech, but where's the beef? How can he pay for these proposals? Very simply, he can't give what he proposes without cutting SS and/or Medi-Care.
