Yes, this is a good train of thought. It is similar (although not exactly the same) as finding two negatively correlated stocks and putting them in the same AI portfolio.
It certainly warrants looking into.
One of the things I wanted to do when I started this board was to come up with lots of good ideas. So far that's exactly what's been happening. Unfortunately, I'm not going to have the time to test all of them by myself, so if anyone out there wants to run with one or two of them, please feel free to jump in and post your results back here.
