Yes Gandur was promoting Addax right up until the day he sold it. Now he suddenly doesn't know if there is gas or oil in the JDZ. He never would have said that before he sold out. I can't believe that guy made that statement at that time. Obviously the guy is trying to cover his butt for selling out low.
Gas lights up like a Christmas tree on the seismic. What is far more difficult is determining the oil-water contact. Oil and water look far more similar on seismic than does oil and gas. Although there are some fizz gas formations that are difficult to distinguish on seismic, I don't believe Gandur was talking about that.
Whatever the case may be, the DHI's are there or they wouldn't be drilling. Now we just need to see how much of it is oil, how much is gas and how much is water. It won't be too much longer before we know that for a few of the prospects.
