I have heard of people using seaweed as mulch and they had success with it.
It's raining cats and dogs right now and will for the next few days. It will be interesting to see how much salt is in the hay and its impact on the garden.
I was provoked into taking some action, as my water bill continually rises, even when I use less water.
Next year I will put in one container to collect water.
By the way, today I saw my first, of what I hope to be many, string beans.
