I said there is manipulation, not in the sense Soros did to the pound.
Central Banks are not exactly choir boys either... They generally try to manipulate their currencies to create a competitive advantage.
Isn't this what they are supposed to do?
As for US$ stacked up en masse in the Asian countries, when we export our jobs in Asia and fill our Wal-Marts with cheapo goods coming from Asia, we pay those guys in Dollars.
What can they do but recycle them in US treasuries?
And they a f#cked: when those treasuries will come to maturity, printing presses will run. <ggg>
