Hence my point that it makes sense for folks to keep their MOUTHS SHUT when they are facing charges.

(It doesn't mean they're "guilty"....)

if there is a guilty plea, then also many fewer "details" are made public, compared to if there was a trial, right???

one good reason: the feds have a mountain of evidence against you. no need to piss them off.

You should be quiet no matter the evidence, or lack of evidence.

It is their job once charges are brought to ensure as many as those charges will stick as possible.
