VPHM re Cinryze label expansion for self-administration:

Self-administration in this case does not mean subcutaneous. For this reason, I would expect the label expansion to be barely meaningful from a commercial standpoint. Re zipjet’s post on SI:

Some of these people have a [IV] port installed which makes the process much easier and self-administration practical. I would think that healthy people getting infusions a couple times a week would want a port.

Is having a permanently installed IV port really a good idea when it is not absolutely essential? I would think it would expose users to a greater risk of infection.
