#18972 RE: vinmantoo #18970

The situation has differences, but it is still "the situation". I worry as much about a growing perception of that situation (that minority holders could be "done over") as I do about the actual chance of its happening. That is why I sold as quickly as I did, wishing nothing but the best of luck to those who didn't. I've missed many a boat in my day, but lost far less that way than by getting on a few that sank, which is why I tend toward caution.

Possibly amusing and instructive sidelight to my sale: I wanted to be first through the door when Ameritrade opened it. I therefore, unwisely, used the Ameritrade Command Center trade ticket to enter my order, and rather too hastily. In case others haven't discovered it, using the newest version of Command Center on a Mac is risky business, as there is a bug which creates a strong likelihood that the selection in the drop-down boxes will revert to the default after one thinks the selection has been changed. I entered an all-or-none sell order for all my shares (as I thought), and when the order popped into view, it had become a buy order for 100 shares at $3.00, which was immediately filled at $2.99 before I could react. Luckily, within a few minutes, I was able to get off the sell (using the web site to enter the order) of my now slightly increased holding. Whew! Naturally, I lost all but a penny of my commission on the 100 shares, as well as burning one of my allowable round trip trades, but the result could have been a lot worse. Beware if you are using a Command Center trade ticket for anything but buying the default number of shares without restriction.
