When my Mom was alive, she was very hard of hearing and could never understand what someone said on the telephone. She would have agreed to almost any sales pitch presented, but that certainly didn't mean she would be labeled a "sucker"
By the way, I was her fall back.
She just told anyone she had trouble hearing to call my phone number. ;-)
