If that is the case, and according to Sun, last time I checked, it was about 6 months from now, but even if you are right, then 15 minutes from that time you wish to pick, Solaris will be ported to Intel platforms.
Notice I said ported, we don't want any fancy software bios gizmo blocks.
The minute that happens, anyone who wishes to use solaris, but not buy expensive sun servers to run it, .......will. Sun runs slower than I2 or even maybe xeons.
