Sort of. It may be that HP was intentionally lagging improvements to UNIX in the hope of selling more x86 systems, including AMD, of course, so as the Kingston Trio sang in "Coplas", translated:

"Do not muddy the water around you, you may have to drink it soon." :))

And in addition, their study found that 33% wanted linux. Trust me on this one, you may want to reconsider migrating to sun if you want to speak linux in any serious way.
