lee, the whole campaign is a charade on both sides. It's all about gaining access to the winner after the election. To the winner goes the spoils. Tax breaks, subsidies, government contracts, pork barrel projects, no bid contracts etc. Both sides are controlled by the same big money corporate payoff. The rest is all BS for public consumption. BTW, why would a Senate candidate spend millions for a job that pays a couple of hundred grand? Altruism? I don't think so. The best government money can buy.
