so.
whatever access to information we are provided by the internet,
whatever advantage we, as private citizens, are given by studying international news and viewpoints, as as dust in the wind.
we seem to have so little effect on the larger program.
i see that in the democratic primaries, which began as a groundswell against the war in iraq, culminates in a "debate" about the vietnam era soldierly credentials of Kerry and Bush.
no strong discussions about the broad differences in international policies or domestic programs: just soundbites aimed at somehow getting relayed between sporting events and any other "reality" extravaganzas.
i just can no longer summon any enthusiasm about voting for the devil you know and the devil you don't.
they are not even speaking to the anti war sentiments.
So much potential in the human spirit, and so much oppression.
Kissinger emerges as the clear winner.
