So listen up!
The loonie is levered to oil, oil is in a strong uptrend, so therefor the loonie is strong. From a Canuck perspective a strong currency is not a good thing for the gold business. Why hold a gold stock when your currency is as good as the tar that's trapped in the sands of Northern Alberta?
To sum it up, things aren't trending the way a most speculators would assume they would.
