I don't get it. On one hand, you call Bush ( and this is just paraphrasing ) a blathering idiot. Now, on the other hand, you claim he knows exactly what he's doing? You can't have it both ways.
Because of situations with the economy, it became a more reachable endeavor for people to buy homes. Where it went wrong was lending entities relaxing requirements or becoming creative in their loan making. If I were president, I would've been pushing for people to buy as well HOWEVER, I would've laid it out differently. I've been talking about this real estate situation on and off for going on 2 years now. It quite honestly scares the hell out of me.
I disagree in that he "could care less what comes to the people that fall into the trap". That's an opinion of yours, not based on fact and one that can neither be refuted or supported. The only thing I can think that he might do, is send a letter to lending agencies etc.... But then he would've been damned if he did and damned if he didn't. It's a very sticky situation. Additionally, If I were in his shoes, I wouldn't be touting home ownership, that may very well come back to bite him in the ass. It's just my opinion though.
