Absolutely true, but you greatly reduce risk of protecting your investment dollars. I've come to the point that I'd rather not risk losing a substantial amount of my investment and take modest gains, than to risk it all on speculation and not have the mney to re-invest on future prospects. I call risking on hopeful speculation, the "all or none" strategy. 99% of the time it ends up n the "none" column! For those with the cash to burn it really doesn't matter but for those with the get rich quick mentality and little to base things on, it can be a harsh lesson learned.
