Sounds like indeed, ceph was nervous about Barr succeeding in filing an ANDA and ultimately getting to market. All it would take is one generic approval. I guess this was a move they had to make.
Did they give guidance on when they'll file the nda for fast dissolve?
Incidentally, ceph and Barr are already well acquainted with the provigil patent challenge which I think Barr will more than likely prevail. Watch Barr challenge the fast dissolve fentanyl in a few years :-)
