I just use the 15-min middle Bollinger Band on the TICK combined with an indicator to help me anticipate intra-day turns. This seems to catch the turns a bit ahead of price from my observations, although I've only been doing it for a short time.

It's not an absolute thing, but it's just another thing I like to look at when I'm trading.

TICK 1 min chart, with 2 slower MA's and 2 faster MA's

pay attn to MA configuration plus location above/below zero line

other price and breadth data also on chart

serious buying is +1000 1 min TICK bar, while serious selling vs. profit taking is -1000 1 min TICK bar

this data is more crucial for decision making than anything else...do NOT try to use TICK unless using a 1-min chart
