It is a "strawman" topic, intended to deflect the comment and criticism away from the failed RFID product line.
As long as this forum has something futuristic and upbeat to discuss, even if completely imaginary, then all is well (on the forum).
Unfortunately, all of the big tech advances in batteries are being made in academic circles or in internal R&D labs, with mega-dollar backing. AIDO has no connection to a source of this type of R&D, that I am aware of. Unless the Chinese can help them out. Who really knows what the Chinese have up their sleeves? They are inscrutable and nearly always unethical in business with the west.
NO, the closest thing to R&D that AIDO ever accomplished was writing the software for the pet tracking system. That was a long time ago. They should have "stuck with their knitting."
AIDO is basically a marketing firm, always trying to get in the middle of some deal, between the manufacturer and the customer, while "riding the many waves" of emerging RFID usage. And there have been SO MANY over the last two years. From watching them over the past few years it doesn't look like they have been very successful at anything at all.
From my viewpoint there were two, very obvious, major warning signs of danger ahead, which I commented on months ago right here on this forum:
a) going into business with the Chinese
b) taking on their first Convertible Debenture
In hindsight, these two events have been their "coffin nails" and now they are on the edge of the grave, about to be buried by the world economic downturn.
I told this forum, based on my DIRECT experience, it is very easy to move investment dollars INTO China but neigh impossible to get profit back OUT. Of course, I am referring to the missing $200K which is most likely still in China and never to be seen again. OUCH!
