The “rash management program” is a fancy phrase for the two trial-design wrinkles introduced n phase-3. What are these wrinkles?

since they doubled the dosage on some of the patients, perhaps they were/are less apt to get the fire in the hole because pruritus develops over time…

The Telaprevir dose used in phase-3 is the same as the dose used in phase-2b.

.........I was referring to the shorter period of time that some patients were/are getting treatment (only 8 weeks) of telaprevir. Most cases of pruritus don't exhibit any earlier than 8 weeks.

"24 weeks of therapy, with telaprevir dosed at 750 mg every eight hours (q8h) for 8 weeks in combination with standard doses of peg-IFN and RBV for 8 weeks, then continuing for another 16 weeks with peg-IFN and RBV alone"
