The company is trying to preserve cash and it costs money every time they put out news. With the next 10-Q filing (3rd qtr.) only weeks away, why not wait 'til then to put this news out along with their numbers? Why are they choosing to do it now? To soften the blow when the numbers come out? It's the only reason that would make sense to me, otherwise it's just money wasted, imo...
