Sneaked a read of your post at work... insightful and brutally accurate in my book... thank you.
Spanking... big difference between a spanking and beating a child... spanking gets their attention and tends to curb unacceptable behavior... thought of a story I read in the last 6 months where a couple decided they would not spank their child... the kid was three... dad was driving him somewhere... the kid let himself out of the safety seat and climbed over into the front seat... pop pulled over, smacked the kid's butt, then buckled him back into his seat... dad called his wife and told her what he had done... the kid never let himself out of his safety seat again... point made.
Loved your points about actors vis a vis their incredible stupidity and blatant hypocrisy... as you know, I spent many years in theatre and have the utmost contempt for most of them... they are puppets whose job it is to pull the emotions they need from the other characters in the scene in order to accomplish their objectives... their words are not their own... and they are heavily coached in the delivery... I don't listen to any of them... feel the same way about the current crop of TV news announcers... these people are not journalists... they are mediocre actors... "educated" by the liberals who run the journalism schools... if any of them could write, they would have been English majors.
Welfare... grrr... talk about throwing good money after bad... what a disaster... I'd cut 'em all off... let 'em work a couple of McDonald's jobs... no sympathy...
Failing that... force every welfare woman of childbearing age to pick up her check in person so she can get her birth control shot... not willing to get the shot??? NO MONEY... If you can't take care of your children yourself... you should not be dropping them on the planet...
Sigh.
Big ho-hum primary tomorrow... I will be voting... it is something I love to do... it is the only time I feel like a full-fledged adult...
God bless America... with all our little faults... still think it is the best place on earth...
