#45019 RE: RonnieD #45018

I'll come back to see what happens tomorrow.

I haven't been following equities, sticking to my currencies. With that being said, I notice this guy said nothing about his moving averages on the daily and how FAZ has been controlled by them. Bounced off once or twice ( don't remember off the top of my head)

Also saw his "trendline" and not sure how he drew it, it didn't even connect candles or wicks, so it really seemed like a random line. (from what I remember)

Also, it looks like it's been forming a bottom, but look back at March 23 to Apr 1, where it hovered at about 20, and then the next week when it hovered around 15, then fell under 10. Also notice how he says he sees 35 in the short term, that could happen, not saying it can't, and that would set up for a nice lower high. I don't see a V shaped bounce coming from FAZ, and on that note, I'm going to bed. Will see how it works out tomorrow, good luck!

RonnieD - 3X such as FAS & FAZ by design loose value over time. So FAZ may have hard time seeing 35 if up and down churning movement continues.

XLF 10% gain followed by 9.1% loss = 100*(1+.1)*(1-.091) = 100

FAS or FAZ moves 3X = 100*(1+3*.1)*(1-3*.091) = 94.5

That is in one cycle of up/down move of 10% FAS/FAZ will loose 5.5%.

Hence, longer term technical analysis of 2X, 3X are not very reliable.
