If you draw your support and resistance lines (or a trendline or pattern for that matter) using the line-drawing pointer or the ray pointer, you can then right click on the line, choose "add alert", and SD will alert you when the price crosses them.

You can also make Weekly and Monthly Pivot/R1/S1 etc as a "Custom Study". Just figured how to add those to the daily charts after a year of the calculator.
