It does if they're using the revenue to pay off the TARP and get uncle sam off their back. It's not like they can't reopen or repurchase them in a few years. JMO. GLTA tomorrow.
I wouldn't call it good news... but I wouldn't call it bad either. The auctioning off of those units has been planned for quite a while, so it's common knowledge that it would happen eventually. So it's not really good or bad news,... and not a surprise that should hurt or help anything. I wouldn't plan on having that bring us any changes near term.
