We did that in Vietnam, Johnson placed a 10% surtax on us...if your tax was a 1000 than you would pay 1100.
.but I think we should do that in everything the government does...we are presently taxing my 2 year old grandson into oblivion with future debt...
I guess that is why I am a conservative...I think we need to pay as we go, but NEITHER party has wanted to do that...It is much easier to tell the American public I am going to cut taxes than to tell the truth that both taxes need to be raised and government services need to be curtailed...and our congressman of both parties will do what it takes to get re-elected in my view...
