Totally agree with you. The water usage to fracture a well is high. Now think about the CO2 released, nature itself had sequestered carbon dioxide through crude oil and hydrocarbons, so what we are doing by using crude oil is un-sequestering all the work nature as done.

Now for natural gas, the carbon content is lower because it has lower carbon content and good hydrogen content. Thats why it burns cleaner and less particulate release.

My feeling is we can power during the day with sunlight and wind turbines. Natural gas is for backup power on the grid.

The problem is that we have left so many things undone while the sheiks in the middle east built skyscrapers on the back of Americans. What a shame, we were robbed and we didn't even know it.
