Why would lawyers tell YOU who did and didn't call them to talk to them?
And WHY would ANY lawyer tell you ANYTHING about a case, other than to come to the courthouse and watch?
Sorry, but I do not believe that anything is told truthfully by a lawyer to a "casual caller" on the telephone.

Excuse me but lawyers defend their clients and will NEVER say anything bad about a client.

And any lawyer is bound by confidentiality to say NOTHING of substance about a case before the courts.

Calling lawyers is a waste of time imo.
