limtex, I have had some success looking for stocks that make lower lows while indicators like PPO and RSI make higher lows (also a volume decline). This is my idea of a "divergence". I think the first low is what some on here would call a "momentum low", with the "price low" following by a month or two.

The chart for RMBS shows this idea with a series of 3 lower lows while RSI, PPO both made higher lows. I am looking to buy my calls back when/if the gap fills, FWIW.
