Our Founders thought it very important that they seek wisdom outside of themselves.

I doubt that many of them believed that stuff at all.

But that doesn't mean that our Congress shouldn't seek God's wisdom before they legislate.

Our founding fathers took great pains and faced certain criticisms to KEEP GOD out of politics, thereby mandating separation of church and state. Even they knew that there is very little reasoning, or governing by faith. Faith is an opinion or feeling and cannot be proven or legislated. To use morality to govern is wise, but to use faith or religion is fanatical, IMHO!
