TM2, it looks like the spread idea is only useful in a bear phase with crude, where it is much easier to lean on weaker hands looking to flip. Maybe in the bull phase one could sell the spread. I don't know. I'll have to think about it a bit. It could be any number of things, not the least of which the OPEC meeting coming up this weekend (?). That will likely bring another production cut.
Finally sold the april-may crude spreads for 1.07. (49.40-48.33) The average cost was 1.74. Yuck. Bet on contango to spike one time too many and lost. Had to leg out of it to even get that much, the highest I saw the spread trade for today was about $0.95
