OT-Economic and Political: In light current economic conditions and the government's response to it, I recommend giving this interview with one of America's greatest thinkers a good listen. It was well worth the time for me to help focus on our governments motivations for doing some of things they are doing.

OK, so that might explain why stock prices are crashing. (But I don't think so). Why are employers letting go their employees ?
Isn't it much more likely that the reason stocks are crashing is because employment is crashing ? Therefor incomes are crashing. Therefor company profits are crashing. Therefor company shares are crashing.
Your post is like blaming the Fireman who loses his life in the fire that was started by 8 years of ruinous economic policy. This is not a political issue and trying to categorize it as such is weak thinking and will not solve the problem. Too much Rush Limbaugh.
