realnews I don't have a horse in the race here but I'm following it and last night on the news they reported movie revenue was up due to the bad economy.

My guess is people foregoing vacations and taking in several movies instead.

The last line from the article above is:
“Fandango is experiencing the best first quarter in its history for ticket sales,” said Rick Butler, its chief operating officer. “I see no signs of a drop-off.”

Yes, prices are 9 and 10 dollars for a ticket but they are cheap compared to going to a theme park. I think most people consider it to be a cheap luxury. Anyway, if the company could make a Slumdog Millionaire, I would be very happy. Maybe we could have a SlumStock Dollaraire!
