Rates would not even go back to what they were under Clinton, pretty good years for the market, don't you think?
President Bush cut the taxes on the rich. Their , top 5%, wealth has, as the percentage of the total, gone up. That is a transfer of wealth to the top 5%.
As to the change in taxes on contributions, that goes back to where it was under President Reagan. The rich will get back $280 of every $1000 donated instead of $350 presently.
Funds need to be raised. Sadly. The proposals look pretty good to me. Fairer too. Wealth will be transferred back the other way from the last eight years.
When I get in the top 5%, I will change my position.
